SAT diagnostic practice: find your next revision step
Explore the OziPrep SAT diagnostic, understand the starting steps and use a worked math example to plan focused revision.
What the diagnostic helps you decide
Use a diagnostic as a starting point for revision: identify areas to revisit and decide what to practise next. It is practice guidance, not an official SAT score or a guarantee of a future result.
The diagnostic entry screen lists available exams, sections, question counts and timing. Check those details for the SAT option before continuing; availability can change.
How to begin
Open the diagnostic, choose an available exam and verify your mobile number. Follow the instructions and provide any requested starting information before beginning. No OziTutors account is needed for this diagnostic entry flow.
After completing the activity, review the report provided for your session. Choose a manageable revision topic and practise it before repeating a diagnostic.
Worked Math example: linear equations
Original practice example, not an official SAT question: if 3x + 5 = 20, what is the value of x?
Subtract 5 from both sides to obtain 3x = 15, then divide by 3 to get x = 5. Check by substituting: 3 × 5 + 5 = 20. If your answer was 15, you stopped before isolating x.
A diagnostic is a starting point
A short diagnostic and a full-length exam serve different purposes. Use the diagnostic to choose revision priorities, then include longer practice sessions when you need to work on pacing and endurance.
Review mistakes by cause: concept, interpretation, calculation or pacing. Choose one change for your next session rather than relying on a single score.
